Convenient access with safeguards
A voice request can begin an access action, but sensitive actions require the configured verification. Voice recognition alone should not be treated as reliable proof of identity. Accessible verification options can include a trusted controller, secure device, or authorized human confirmation.
Access for people you trust
Where supported, create time-limited access for carers, family members, or scheduled visitors. Revoke permissions when they are no longer needed and review an access history. Automatic recognition of a visitor should not itself authorize entry.
Discreet assistance when needed
A dedicated panic control or agreed duress action can initiate a security response through the configured contacts or contracted monitoring provider. It should be designed carefully so that its visible or audible behavior does not create additional danger.
Coordinated home awareness
Door, window, perimeter, and selected camera events can contribute to a security view. Away mode and visitor mode can help reduce unnecessary alerts. Health-related information and household security permissions should remain separately controlled.
A defined response route
The household should understand who receives a security alert, who can review supporting information, and who may contact police or other responders. Automatic police attendance must not be promised without a verified service arrangement and applicable dispatch procedures.
